The Golden Pass LNG Terminal is designed to handle a range of LNG ships up to and including the largest vessels in service today, which have a total capacity of up to 266,000 cubic meters.
There are two unloading berths at the Golden Pass LNG Terminal, both capable of handling the larger vessels. The berths are equipped with the latest technology, including mooring and tension monitoring systems, cargo transfer systems, gangway and associated safety equipment including emergency shutdowns.
Four world-class, state-of-the-art tractor tugs with fire-fighting capability will service the LNG ships. The primary mission of the four tugs is to support LNG ship escorting, docking and undocking operations.
